Danny has more than 25 years of industry experience working directly with communicators on Capitol Hill and is the driving force behind the growth of Business Wire's Public Policy and LatinoWire services. On a daily basis Danny works with senior-level communicators in government, associations, advocacy groups, political campaigns, organized labor, non-profits, foreign governments and corporations – offering counsel on distribution strategies and target audiences. Danny also focuses on new business development opportunities across many sectors.
In January 2007, Danny joined Business Wire to create a portfolio of distribution services that enable associations, advocacy groups, non-profits, unions and government agencies to more effectively communicate their news and points of view to the media, decision-makers, influencers and the public. In 2012, Danny spearheaded the expansion of Business Wire’s LatinoWire services – increasing the company’s reach among traditional and online Spanish-language media, bloggers and other online Hispanic communities across the U.S.
Danny co-chairs the Professional Development Committee of the National Capital Chapter of PRSA and is a member of the National Press Club's Luncheon Speakers and PR/Communications Committees. He is also a founding member and serves on the board of the Hispanic PR Association-DC Chapter. His other passion is magic and he’s President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Ring 50 for the Washington, DC area.
Before joining Business Wire, Danny lived and worked out of his virtual office in Bogotá, Colombia, where he was Vice President for PR Newswire’s public policy group. Previous to his move to South America, he ran their Washington office for nearly 20 years. His career started on Wall Street as a researcher and marketing analyst at EF Hutton and Company. He holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Business from Columbia University.
