PR Peeps Poll: When’s the Best Time to Send a Press Release?
Business Wire invites the community to answer the most frequently asked question we get – when IS the best time to send a press release?
That question is the topic of this month’s PR Peeps Poll, and the public relations community is invited to weigh in. The one-question poll can be taken here:
Business Wire wrote a blog post titled When’s the Best Time to Send a Press Release back in 2007, and to date it’s still the most-read entry on the Businesswired blog. A podcast addressing the issue is also a top draw as is a recent post titled Use Google Trends to Find the Best Time to Send Your Press Release. Elsewhere, a conversation about what day to send press releases drew strong opinions and a slew of comments on the Journalistics blog.
While there’s no single answer since it depends on the goal of the release and the news of the day, general parameters – early in the day, early in the week – seem to make sense. Poll results will be announced at the end of July.
About the PR Peeps Poll
PR Peeps Polls are administered almost monthly and based on data taken from Twitter, Facebook, email outreach and Business Wire’s webinar attendees.
